Product Details

The Cleerline 2.5mm to 1.25mm Visual Fault Locator Adapter is an essential tool for standard visual fault locators (VFLs). It adapts the standard 2.5mm ferrule used for SC, ST and FC connectors to a 1.25mm ferrule used by LC connectors.

Unlike most VFL adapters, the Cleerline VFL-ADP is a round barrel-style that is optimized for terminating and testing mechanical fiber connectors. Standard, click-over style adapters can obstruct mechanical connector locking tabs and buttons, whereas the Cleerline VFL-ADP provides access during the entire termination and test cycle.

VFLs are essential for tracing fiber cable paths, checking optical continuity and verifying proper connector termination. They detect fiber breaks, fiber leaks, stress points and faulty connectors.
